This cleaving hatchet is equipped with a handle made of durable ashwood. If required, the hatchet can be retrofitted with an impact protection sleeve, which is available from your STIHL dealer.
The AX 13 C cleaving hatchet has been given the KWF quality mark by Kuratorium für Waldarbeit und Forsttechnik e.V. (Forestry and forestry technology advisory board).
Note: For your own safety, do not use this cleaving hatchet to drive in steel splitting wedges. Steel must never be used to hammer onto steel.
